Although his mother was a Vista, Leonard didn't care because he wasn't truly looking for love but rather he was looking for power and longevity. He wanted to breed a child who was powerful enough to keep the wolf legacy going, and he thought having a child with a member of the Vista family would create a child who would grow to be more powerful than himself. So he married Michelle and had not one but two kids in hopes that one of them would be his greatest creation. The first child was Erin and the second was Reinhard.

Leonard kept his agenda secret from Michelle, as she thought he was truly in love with her. When the secret came out that's when Michelle decided to leave Leonard and the kids. What Michelle, however, did not know was that she was hurting the kids more so than Leonard. She also left a car on her son Reinhard who had grown to hate her. From a young age, Reinhard was taught in practical life skills and educational skills. By the age of 8, he was already on a 9th-grade learning level.

Reinhard looked up to his father very much when he was young. He looked at his father almost as if he was a god and never wished to disappoint him. He thought his father's words and teachings were like words from a holy text, and this was the type of behavior his father wanted.

As he grew older Reinhard was placed under heavy training regiments. Even though his mother's side of the family was a group of powerful fighters, his father never allowed him to meet them, and for the longest time, he kept his family heritage a secret from the young boy. It was only just recently revealed to Reinhard before he joined Rising Wolf. The training he went through would encompass several fields such soldier class, siphoner class, magician class, and even the hunter class. However, all of these came to no avail as he wasn't skilled in any of these.

This came as a surprise to Leonard as most of his kids were of the siphoner class like him, however it turned out that his true skill laid in that of the Berserker class due to a mutation in his mother's berserker class. Leonard grew unhappy with this because of the fact Reinhard could not absorb chi like him. So now knowing his class making a training plan become much easier. They focused purely on strength for the most part, while making speed and endurance a secondary focus. Leonard's hope was to turn his youngest son into a warrior who was skilled with a blade and would use techniques highly revolving around his sword.

The plan was a solid one as they made many advances in the creation of said techs. Leonard would also spend money, time, and resources making sure his son was to carry his legacy forward. He put his best scientist, trainers, researchers, and engineers working to make his son powerful. The first of these advances was the creation of his son's sword, which is made out of Magnesium Alloy, the world's strongest and lightest metal besides mythical materials such as adamantium.

The next thing was receiving training from several teachers so that he could learn a different fighter class somewhere along his paths. Leonard had honestly still hoped that Reinhard would develop the siphoner ability later on down the line.

As the son of a world renowned researcher, Reinhard and his older siblings were subject to experiments. These experiments were done so that they could help advance the fighters as a race, and they could stop living in the shadows of normal humans. While some of his siblings were enhanced in organic ways, Reinhard was advanced in technological ways. Basically his father tried turning him into a cyborg. However with him not having control over his chi yet a lot of these cybernetic implants would need to be replaced after his chi got discovered. So they settled with one thing, a limiter implant that would limit the usage of his powers until it was remotely disabled. The chip was attached to the part of the brain that allows one to mold chi. They figured that if this worked they could later reverse engineer the chip to allow people who can't use chi to use it.
